Spring is slowly coming—it's warm now but don't count winter out yet—and we're celebrating with lots of fun classes and new fabrics. We've got a packed schedule for March, so read carefully, call us to sign up and mark those calendars. Classes and Special Events

Collage Class with Leslie McNeil: Fri./Sat. March 3-4

Only a few slots left! Call us ASAP if you want to join in on this super popular class. Leslie walks you through the fabric selection, cutting, collaging, and finishing of one of her collage patterns. Pattern is your choice. This is a great stash buster class! No sewing machine is needed. Supply list available on back of the pattern. Cost for two day class: $75

Advanced Beginner Class: Next session March 9, 10:30am-1pm or 6pm-8:30pm

Class has started, but you still join. Kit is pre-cut, pre-notched, and includes directions, but class makes this challenging project fun and sociable. Gwen walks you through that delicate piecing. Required kit has three color options, stop in and choose your favorite! Below is a photo of an assembled section.  Cost: $15 per class. 

    

Birthday Club: March 10, 5:30-6pm 

For those who participated in the year long birthday club, it's almost time to see what block others made with your chosen fabrics. Join us March 10 at 5:30pm for a dessert/treat gathering to receive your birthday gift! A few blocks from July shown below. Please call us if you are interested in joining in the fun for 2017's Birthday Club.

Minkee Quilt-As-You-Go: Sat., March 11 10:30am

The ever popular minkee class is back for round number 4! If minkee intimidates you, this class is great to get some helpful tips while leaving with a finished quilt. Class will utilize a minkee kit available in our store. We have lots of different kits in stock, so come by and check out which quilt you want to make. Bring sewing machine with walking or even feed foot, cutting tools, and basic notions to class. Cost: $30. 

 

Kids Club: March 17, 4pm - 5:45pm

Last session we made cute pillow cases, this month we are making personalized place mats. Again, we welcome kiddos from age 6-10 are as we make small projects which can be completed in one or two sessions. Each kiddo will need to bring a machine, and project supplies will be available for purchase at class. Each student must know how to work their sewing machine (and wind a bobbin) and bring basic sewing supplies. Please call ahead to reserve a spot as we have a little prep ahead for this class. Cost: $10 + supplies.

Finish What You Started Fridays: March 10, 17, 31

Get help finishing those projects you’ve had on the back burner. We’d love it if you called ahead of time, especially if you want to use a classroom machine. Cost: $10 for classroom use. Machine also available for rent in classroom for $15/hour (one hour minimum).

Intro to Quilting: This 12 course started in January. We'd love to have you in our summer session.

Mini Retreat @ Main Street Quilting: Fri/Sat/Sun, March 24-26
Join us for a "sleep in your own bed" retreat. There is plenty of room to spread out and lots of time to get those projects done! Gwen will be on hand to lend advice with projects and there are always fun surprises in store!  Dinner provided on Friday night, brunch provided Saturday & Sunday. Friday: 5pm-10pm. Saturday: 9am-10pm, Sunday: 9am-2pm. Cost: $50


Crazy Quilt Class with Susan Ward: Fri/Sat April 7-8 10am-4pm
Susan is coming to Bozeman, this time to teach the techniques needed to make a crazy quilt. It's time to take those fabrics or items with special meaning and make them into a beautiful memorial. Susan will teach you how to build a gorgeous background with which to embellish with embroidery or ribbon, buttons or whatever your imagination desires.  We have limited spots available Susan is a great teacher who will guide you through letting your imagination fly with fabric. Cost: $75


Software Inspirations

Software Inspirations focuses on the recently released Version 8 Bernina Embroidery Software. Join us the last Wednesday of every month at 12:30-1:30pm. Next session: Weds, Feb 22 Cost: $10

This month lots of new Hoffman mottled solids and Hoffman bali dots are arriving in the shop. Also on the way are new Island Batik bolts. 

Blithe

We finished the kit and quilt from this line. Blithe from Art Gallery is an art deco collection inspired by forestlands. Modern-styled motifs of deer, antlers, birds, flowers, and a forest mingle amongst icy grey, teal, and purple backgrounds. Great prints and colors for apparel or home decor. 

Minkee

New cuddle minkee is here. Modern arrows and cute animals. The animal print on a white background is even non-directional! These would make a cute baby quilt, let us help you!

Hello World

Mentioned briefly in last newsletter, Hello World is now here. We have a few bolts from the line and fat quarter bundle of the entire line. It's super cute and would make a fantastic quilt for kids of all ages. 

Carisle from Andover

The line features one main print with coordinating fabrics featuring the same colors. All patterns, including the feature print, are made in three color ways. One color way of the collection is shown below.

Blocks of the Month

Designed to be sold as mini-kits every month, we can also sell the full kit for many Block of the Months. Just ask. 

On the Horizon BOM

We’re working on a great BOM called " On the Horizon", a 108” square quilt and Gwen re-designed the colors. This will be a 9 month BOM program in greens, purples, and creams.

Forest Floor

Now hanging in the shop! Come in and look at this beautiful 106" square log cabin-esque quilt featuring rich jewel tone batiks. $36/registration fee. $25.50/month for 12 months The fabrics are so much prettier in person- especially the corner leaf print. You will not want to miss this one!



Women of the Bible
The store sample is done! A flannel block of the month- we put minkee on the back. This quilt will be great for those cold winter nights. Each month you get all the fabrics you need to make 3 or 4 blocks as well as an interested background on Women of the Bible.

We repair and service all makes and models of sewing machines and sergers. Cameron, our expert technician, comes approximately every other week. His list always fills quickly, so call us today at 406-586-6097 to reserve a slot. Please give us the make and model of your machine when you call so we can give you the most accurate repair and/or cleaning estimate.
