Happy News from MSQCo!
Merry Christmas! We are sending wishes for a wonderful holiday season, filled with family, friends and much joy! We will be spending time with family and friends from out of town and I am looking forward to (maybe) sneaking in a little quilting time. I had the best surprise today in the mail... We are in the Jan/Feb 2015 issue of Victoria magazine on pages 27-28.

***Clubs***
FQ or HY CLUB- Each month we will set aside a bundle of 8 FQ or 8 Half Yard cuts of coordinating fabrics specially chosen for club members. You may choose from Batiks, Cottons or Flannels! We've started putting together the bundles and I am going to have to sign up for all three- they are such fun bundles!! We have limited participation, so call or email us today to get on the list. Bundles will be ready the 3rd Friday of each month.
Cost for FQ: $26/mo (batik), $24/mo (cotton), or $28/mo (flannel).
Cost for HY: $52/mo (batik), $48/mo (cotton), or $56/mo (flannel).
Here's a sneak at what could be a bundle:
EMBROIDERY CLUB- Bernina has a year full of fun projects that will inspire you! We will be meeting the second to last Wednesday monthly starting Jan 21 @ 10:30am. Bring your USB stick to class. Please call to be added to class list. Cost: $10.00
SOFTWARE SAMPLER- Building on what we've learned this year about Software 7... In 2015, we will have various projects to hone those skills. Meets the last Wednesday of the month @ 12 pm. First class: Jan 28. Bring your USB stick! Cost: $10.
FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED- We have been having a blast helping you finish those projects! A perfect follow up to the Batik Babes class or if you just need an extra dose of laughter, friendship and encouragement. Meeting weekly on Fridays from 12-5 pm in 2015 (exceptions will be posted online so check out the calendar) Cost: $10 or $15 with machine rental.
KIDS CLUB- First Class in January goes over basics and we will have two projects options available to choose for making in class. Second Saturday/month, 2-5 pm Cost: $15+ Supplies
***Classes***
Beginning Quilting- We still have a few openings in the morning and evening classes. Starting January 13 from 10am-1pm or 6pm-9pm. Stop in to pick up your supply list and get 15% off all items for the class.
Intermediate Quilting- Class is full. Call us to get on the list for our next session!!
Rag Patch Quilt Class- This quick and easy quilt as you go class is great for sewists of all ages. Kids are welcome! Stop in and see our samples using pre-cuts. Class is Friday, January 2 from 10-5 or Saturday, January 3 from 10-5 Cost: $25
Beginners Weekend: Jan 16-17 We will be using the "Just Can't Cut It" pattern. Starting at the basics of cutting the fabric to putting on the borders, this weekend is a perfect one for friends to sew together! We have space for 2 more people. Come join the fun. Cost: $50/person plus supplies.
Bargello for Beginners- Carrie will walk you through the traditional techniques that lead to a beautiful end result: a bargello quilt! Class will be two Saturday sessions: Jan 24 & Feb 7 10-5 each day. Stop in and get your fabrics prior to class. Class supply list will be posted online. Cost: $50
Convergence- Peggy has made quite a few of the Convergence quilts using the Ricky Tim's methodology. She will show you how to complete an intricate looking quilt and will share her tips and tricks for making it all work! This is a two day class: February 20 and 21 Cost: $40 plus book
***New Blocks of the Month***
Acadia Avenue BOM- This batik beauty is paper pieced and finishes at 72" x 90". We will be having a class with each block pickup so feel free to stay and sew while getting a course on paper piecing. Block Pick Up and Sew will be second Wednesday starting February 11th @ 10 am. Registration fees/sign ups are due by Jan 14th so we can start cutting kits. Cost: $65 registration fee, pattern booklet and background fabrics. Monthly installments are $28.50/mo for fabric and class.
Color Love BOM- Fabric is here, kits are cut and they ready for pick up. My first blocks are done and you can see them hanging by the counter. This fabric is so pretty and has a fun retro vibe to it. If you are not wanting to participate in the monthly pick up, the entire kit is available all at once. Don't miss out on this! Block pick up is first Saturday of the month.
Secrets and Shadows BOM- Sold out! If you missed out on this one- You may want to look at the upcoming Civil War inspired with 1800's reproduction fabrics...
Prairie Gatherings BOM - This 88" x 100" medallion style quilt uses gorgeous country reds and creams in this pattern by Pam Buda. You will be building this quilt from the center out and will enjoy reading the short historical stories that inspired this quilt. Cost: $25/mo + $25 registration fee. We are limited to 15 so sign up early. First block pickup: March 9, 2015 (second Monday monthly thereafter)
